ARSENAL & PSG TARGET MAHREZ READY TO QUIT LEICESTER The Premier League winner looks set to join team-mate Jamie Vardy out of the exit door at the King Power Stadium after being tempted by talk of offers from Europe's elite EXCLUSIVE Riyad Mahrez is ready to quit Leicester City but the Premier League champions are still hoping to tie him to a new and improved contract, Goal has learned. The PFA Player of the Year is wanted by Europe's elite after scoring 17 goals and recording 11 assists to help guide the Foxes to their first ever top-flight title win in 2015-16. Mahrez signed a contract extension with Leicester in August 2015 and is currently earning £35,000-a-week - much less than Arsenal-bound team-mate Jamie Vardy who increased his pay packet to £80,000-a-week after agreeing an improved deal in February. Algeria international Mahrez has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain following his match-winning performances for Claudio Ranieri's side.  Uncertainty currently clouds the 25-year-old's future but the player himself is keen on leaving the King Power Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Guinness Match of the Weekend: Tottenham vs. Arsenal

Sunday’s North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will, in many ways, be the same as any other derby between the pair. The meetings stretch back into eternity, drawing these two fierce rivals together in seemingly endless combat. It was more than a tad harsh considering it was a Tottenham player who fired England into a deserved lead, but Three Lions’ fans couldn’t help but label Roy Hodgson’s side ‘Spursy’ for throwing away two points in their Euro 2016 opener. Eric Dier thumped England ahead with a rasping free kick with just under 20 minutes remaining but England were undone deep into injury time when Vasili Berezutski’s header looped over Joe Hart and dropped in at the far post. Hodgson’s side contained five of the Spurs players who buckled under pressure in the closing weeks of the Premier League season, failing to win any of their final four games and handing second place to Arsenal having failed to keep with eventual winners Leicester. Twitter, was in a typically unforgiving mood, an knew where to aim the blame for another painful England capitulation. Not sure if it's a coincidence that an England team so dominated by Spurs players, bottle it right at the end.
